Olympic Orchids: Salamanca

Today is a not too warm, slightly drizzly summer day at 82 degrees. I splashed on my sample of Salamanca from Olympic Orchids and was pleasantly surprised. I rarely find a leather perfume that I enjoy, and this leather was clean and dry. The herbal elements blend well to create a crisp, green aura somewhat like the yellowed fields of plants drying out under the hot summer sun. Pleasant despite the bitterness and enjoyable to wear.

Notes, directly pulled from Dr. Ellen Covey's website: hay absolute, tonka, mitti (an attar made in India by distilling the scent of clay), vetiver, immortelle absolute, African helichrysum oil, labdanum absolute, opoponax, a leather accord created especially for use in this fragrance, and yellow mimosa absolute.
